Benny the Brave Beaver

But every time he looked at the river, he felt small and unsure. "What if I can’t do it?" he thought, sighing.

One sunny day, Benny sat on a log, sketching ideas for his dam. Just then, Lily the Rabbit hopped by, twitching her nose.

"Hi Benny! What are you working on?" she asked, her big eyes sparkling with curiosity.

"I'm trying to build a dam," Benny replied quietly. "But I’m just a small beaver."

Lily smiled brightly. "You may be small, but you have big dreams! You can do it!"

Benny felt a little better with Lily's encouragement. But deep inside, he still felt unsure.

Suddenly, dark clouds rolled in, and a fierce storm began to brew. The wind howled, and rain poured down like a waterfall.

“Oh no! The storm will flood our homes!” Benny cried, looking around at the worried faces of his friends.

Lily's ears perked up. "We need to help everyone! Benny, you can lead us!"

Benny took a deep breath. “Okay, let’s work together and save our homes!”

Just then, Oliver the Owl swooped down from his tree. “I heard the storm is coming. What can I do to help?”

Lily said, “We need to build a dam right away! Benny has a great plan!”

Benny’s heart raced. “Me? Lead everyone?” He felt nervous but knew he had to try.

With a determined nod, Benny said, “Let’s gather sticks and mud! We can do this together!”

The friends worked hard, gathering materials and building the dam. Benny directed everyone, feeling braver with each passing moment.

Lily hopped around, gathering twigs, while Oliver flew high to spot the best building materials.

As the storm raged on, Benny felt the weight of responsibility. But he also felt the warmth of friendship all around him.

“Keep going, everyone! We’re almost there!” Benny shouted, his voice strong and confident.

Finally, after what felt like forever, the dam was complete! It stood tall and sturdy against the rushing water.

The rain began to lighten, and Benny looked around at his friends. “We did it together!” he cheered.

Everyone smiled, their hearts filled with joy. Benny realized that he wasn’t small after all—he was a hero because of his friends.

As the sun peeked out from behind the clouds, Benny felt proud. He had led his friends to safety, and they had built something amazing.

From that day on, Benny knew that even the smallest beaver could accomplish great things with teamwork and bravery.

And every time he saw the dam, he remembered how strong he felt with his friends by his side. They all celebrated together, happy and safe in Sunnyvale Forest.
